Best no-code Messenger bot builders in 2026

Last checked against each vendor's own site on October 30, 2026.

The best no-code Messenger bot builder depends on the job. For appointments booked in the chat, use Meerlume, which builds the bot from a description of your business and has Messenger from its Growth plan. For turning Facebook comments into conversations and sales, use ManyChat, or Chatfuel if you want an AI agent to qualify those leads. For Messenger campaigns next to email, use SendPulse. For a free start with Google Calendar booking on a paid plan, use BotPenguin.

We make Meerlume, so read this with that in mind. Every other entry comes from that vendor's own site. We leave other vendors' prices out because they change often, so check the pricing page before you choose.

The 8 tools in detail

1. Meerlume

That's us

Businesses that take appointments on Messenger and want a built-in calendar without building a flow by hand.

  • Builds the whole bot from a plain-language description of your business.
  • A built-in calendar that offers only free times, with rescheduling and cancelling in the chat.
  • Reminders for confirmed bookings in Messenger. Outside the 24-hour window they go as utility messages, which Meta is still rolling out by country, so a refused one goes by email if the customer gave an address, otherwise not at all.
  • Connects your Facebook Page through Facebook login, with no webhook or token to paste.
  • An inbox where you take over any conversation, and the same bot on Telegram, WhatsApp, Instagram and your website.

Skip it if: You want Messenger on a free plan, since it starts on Growth. It also doesn't fit if you need broadcasts, comment-to-DM automation or a bot that writes its own replies. One calendar takes one booking at a time, with no capacity count, so group classes don't fit. It's one login with no seats, and one bot per language.

2. ManyChat

Visit site

Creators and brands that want to turn Facebook comments and Meta ads into Messenger conversations and sales.

  • Comment-to-DM replies, with a limit on live automations on Free.
  • Conversation Starters, keyword triggers and referral links, on every plan.
  • Automations from Meta ads that open Messenger, from Essential.
  • AI replies and broadcasts on Pro and up.
  • A Buy Button in Messenger through your Stripe or PayPal, on Pro and up.

Skip it if: You sell time slots. It has no calendar of its own that we could find, so appointments rest on a flow you build, a tool you link to, or a paid third-party Calendly app whose listing doesn't name Messenger. Billing also follows monthly active contacts, and Free and Essential connect two channels.

3. Chatfuel

Visit site

Businesses that get leads from Facebook comments and ads and want an AI agent to qualify them in Messenger.

  • AI replies to Messenger messages, post comments, m.me links and ads that open Messenger.
  • Qualifies leads, sorts them into a pipeline and hands ready ones to your team.
  • Its own services, specialists and working hours, with AI booking you switch on per automation.
  • Set up by chatting to its AI Co-Worker, or start from templates.
  • Unlimited teammates and contacts on every plan.

Skip it if: You want a free plan or reminders in Messenger. It lists a 7-day trial that needs a card, and its docs say calendar reminders only go out on WhatsApp. Google Calendar sync also runs one way, into Chatfuel, and the AI shares your payment link rather than taking the payment. AI replies draw on a monthly credit balance.

4. SendPulse

Visit site

Marketers who run Messenger campaigns next to email and want both from one account.

  • A visual flow builder with ready-made templates on every plan, Free included.
  • Messenger campaigns you can schedule and measure, plus Meta-approved templates for updates after the 24-hour window.
  • Flows that start from a comment on your post.
  • Payment buttons in flows through Stripe, PayPal and others, on paid plans.
  • A CRM and live chat in the same account.

Skip it if: You want the bot to check real availability. Its Messenger page offers an appointment template and a Google Calendar link template, but we found no booking calendar behind them. Its Calendly link feeds the CRM and email automations, not the chat.

5. BotPenguin

Visit site

Teams that want to start Messenger on a free plan and add Google Calendar booking when they upgrade.

  • Messenger, WhatsApp, Instagram, Telegram and website chat from one account, with one chatbot on Free.
  • An Appointment step that books, moves and cancels on Google Calendar inside Messenger, on paid plans.
  • Comment auto-replies that lead into Messenger, with AI-written replies on paid plans.
  • Opt-in broadcasts and drip sequences, on paid plans.
  • A unified inbox and live chat, on the free plan too.

Skip it if: You want bookings on a free plan, or you need payments in Messenger. Appointment booking starts on a paid plan, through a connected Google Calendar or a Calendly link. Its Facebook docs mention Stripe and PayPal, but the list of gateways you can pick there leaves them out, and its Razorpay page names only WhatsApp and website, so check first. Its plans come with a message allowance.

6. Chatbase

Visit site

Businesses that want an AI agent to answer Messenger questions from their own content.

  • Connect your data sources, set the agent's role and guardrails, with no code.
  • Answers Messenger messages on one or several Facebook Pages, with a different agent per Page if you like.
  • You can take over any conversation and reply yourself through Messenger.
  • Reads attachments customers send.
  • Turns comments on your posts into Helpdesk tickets you can reply to, on Basic and up.

Skip it if: You want bookings or payments inside Messenger. Its docs say the Calendly and Cal.com actions run only on its own web channels, and the Stripe actions only in the chat bubble. A custom action can run on any channel, but it needs a system of yours to call.

7. Tidio

Visit site

Online stores that want Messenger in one shared inbox with website chat, email, Instagram and WhatsApp.

  • Live chat, email, Instagram, Messenger and WhatsApp in one shared inbox.
  • Lyro, its AI agent, answers on Messenger and hands complex cases to your team, with a small one-time allowance on Free.
  • Visual Flows and live chat on Messenger.
  • Lyro Actions that reach outside tools, with one Action free and the rest on a paid Lyro quota.
  • Facebook comments managed from the inbox.

Skip it if: Messenger is your main channel or you need a calendar of your own. Its homepage leads with store support and sales. Its services page says Lyro can offer times and confirm appointments, but we found no calendar of its own, no chat payment, and no page showing booking on Messenger.

8. Botpress

Visit site

Support teams that want a custom AI agent and treat Messenger as one channel among several.

  • AI agents built in natural language or a visual studio, with custom code when needed.
  • An official Messenger integration that answers Page messages and post comments.
  • Moves a comment into a private Messenger conversation.
  • Google Calendar, Cal.com, Calendly and Stripe payment link integrations.
  • Seats, a help centre and support tooling for a team.

Skip it if: You want a booking bot rather than a support agent. Calendars and payments are integrations you install and wire into the agent, so there's more to set up, and we didn't find a page that shows them running on Messenger.

How we compared them

We started from the tools Google named for Messenger bot builders in October 2026, then kept eight that do different jobs. Our checks of AI assistants didn't cover Messenger, so this list comes from Google only, and it isn't complete. For each vendor we read the homepage and pricing page, plus its Messenger, booking, payment or integration pages and help articles where an entry depended on them. We didn't read every page, and we didn't test the other tools on a live Facebook Page.

“No calendar listed” means we couldn't find one on the pages we read, not that one can't be connected.

Frequently asked questions

What is the best free Messenger bot builder?
It depends on what the free plan has to do. ManyChat, SendPulse, BotPenguin and Tidio all connect Messenger on a free plan, each with its own limits, and Botpress has a free plan with a Messenger integration in its Hub. BotPenguin's booking and ManyChat's AI, broadcasts and payments need a paid plan. Chatfuel and Chatbase offer a 7-day trial instead. Meerlume's Free plan covers Telegram and website chat, not Messenger.
Can a Messenger bot take bookings?
Yes, but check what stands behind it. A real booking needs live availability, so two customers can't take the same time. Meerlume has that built in, one customer per time on each calendar. Chatfuel has its own calendar with AI booking, BotPenguin books on Google Calendar on paid plans, and Botpress connects to calendar tools. Chatbase's Calendly and Cal.com actions don't run on Messenger. Others rely on a flow you build, a link to a booking tool, or a request you confirm by hand.
Can a Messenger bot message customers after 24 hours?
Only in limited ways. Meta lets a bot reply freely for 24 hours after the customer's last message in most cases. The main routes after that are an approved utility message for something like an appointment reminder, or a paid marketing message, which ManyChat's guide says Meta has rolled out to a limited number of countries so far. Meerlume uses utility messages for booking reminders outside the window. Meta is still rolling these out by country, so a refused one goes by email if the customer gave an address, otherwise not at all.
Can a Messenger bot take payments?
Yes. ManyChat has a Buy Button through Stripe or PayPal on Pro and up, and SendPulse has payment buttons on paid plans. Meerlume sends a Stripe Checkout link from your own account on the Growth plan and up, and Botpress can create Stripe payment links. Chatfuel's AI shares a payment link you provide but doesn't take the payment itself.
Can a Messenger bot reply to Facebook comments?
Several can. ManyChat, Chatfuel, SendPulse, BotPenguin and Botpress can all start from a comment on your post and move the person into Messenger. Chatbase turns comments into Helpdesk tickets, and Tidio lets you manage them from its inbox. Meerlume doesn't do this: a conversation starts when the customer messages your Page.
Do these bots use AI to answer customers?
Several do, including Chatfuel, Chatbase, Tidio, BotPenguin, Botpress and ManyChat on Pro and up. Meerlume works differently: AI builds the first version and reads typed messages the bot can't use as an answer, but it never writes a reply. The bot sends the messages in your flow and Meerlume's standard prompts, such as confirmations. You can turn that reading off for each bot.
What does Meerlume cost on Messenger?
Messenger starts on the Growth plan at $49 a month, with a 7-day free trial on monthly billing. Growth also adds Instagram, Stripe payments and per-staff calendars. You can build and test a bot on the Free plan first, which needs no card.
