Best no-code WhatsApp bot builders in 2026
Last checked against each vendor's own site on October 30, 2026.
The best no-code WhatsApp bot builder depends on the job. For appointments booked by a scripted bot, use Meerlume, which builds it from a description of your business. For appointment software on the number you already use, use Happoin. For an AI agent that writes its own replies and books into a calendar, use Chatfuel. For a team inbox with broadcasts, use Wati.
We make Meerlume, so read this with that in mind. Every other entry comes from that vendor's own site. We leave other vendors' prices out because they change often, so check the pricing page before you choose.

The 9 tools in detail
1. Meerlume
That's usBusinesses that take appointments on WhatsApp and want a built-in calendar and a bot that sticks to the messages in its flow.
- Builds the whole bot from a plain-language description of your business.
- A built-in calendar that offers only free times, with reminders for confirmed bookings, and rescheduling and cancelling in the chat.
- Reads typed messages the bot can't use as an answer, so a customer can give the service, day and time in one sentence. It never writes a reply.
- An inbox where you take over any conversation, with photos, voice messages and files.
- The same bot on Telegram, Instagram, Messenger and your website when you need them.
Skip it if: You need to keep the number on the WhatsApp or Business app: it must be removed first, there's no coexistence, and each bot uses one number. Also skip it for broadcasts or a bot that writes its own replies. One calendar takes one booking at a time, with no capacity count, so group classes don't fit. It's one login with no seats, and one bot per language.
2. Happoin
Clinics, salons, barbers and studios that want appointment software built around the WhatsApp number they already use.
- An appointment calendar for each team member, with a booking website included.
- HappiBot books, confirms, changes and cancels appointments in WhatsApp, with or without AI, from its Silver plan.
- Confirmations and reminders from your own number, with wording and timing you set.
- Connects through Meta's API or linked devices, and you keep WhatsApp Business on your phone.
- WhatsApp campaigns through Meta's API on every plan.
- Two-way Google Calendar sync and a waiting list from its Bronze plan.
Skip it if: You want a bot for more than appointments, such as orders or quotes, or the same bot on Instagram and Telegram. We found no other chat channels on the pages we read. The free plan has a monthly appointment limit and no HappiBot, so booking there happens on its website.
3. Chatfuel
Businesses that want an AI agent to hold the whole conversation and book into a calendar.
- A booking calendar with services, specialists and working hours.
- An AI agent that offers open times and books in WhatsApp, Instagram and Messenger chats.
- WhatsApp confirmations, and reminders a day and two hours before, with Confirm, Reschedule and Cancel buttons.
- Reads your specialists' Google Calendars so busy times aren't offered.
- Keeps your number on the WhatsApp Business app, and can bring in up to six months of chats.
Skip it if: You want a bot that only sends what you wrote. In-chat booking runs through its AI, because its scripted flows can't create bookings. There's no free plan, AI replies stop when credits run out, and Google Calendar sync is one way, so bookings don't appear there. Base reminder templates come in English, Spanish and Brazilian Portuguese.
4. Wati
Teams that run sales and support on WhatsApp and want a shared inbox, broadcasts and automation in one place.
- A team inbox for WhatsApp, Instagram, Messenger, TikTok and website chat.
- Broadcast campaigns and ads that open a WhatsApp chat.
- A drag-and-drop chatbot builder, plus WhatsApp Flows forms that collect branch, doctor and time.
- Appointment reminders with one-tap confirm or reschedule.
- Astra AI agents as an add-on that say they book meetings through connected tools such as Calendly, and coexistence with the WhatsApp Business app.
Skip it if: You want the bot to offer real free times with no other tool behind it. Its clinic page shows a form that creates a request for your team, with sync to your own booking system through the API or webhooks. Its Calendly and Google Calendar guides cover WhatsApp notifications, and the Calendly guide needs Wati's Pro or Business plan.
5. BotPenguin
Teams that want a flow builder across several channels, starting free and adding Google Calendar booking later.
- A Google Appointment step that shows open slots and can book, reschedule and cancel, on paid plans.
- An option for several bookings on one slot, for group sessions.
- WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook, Telegram and website chat from one account.
- Coexistence, so the number stays on the WhatsApp Business app.
- Payment steps through gateways such as Razorpay and Worldpay.
Skip it if: You want bookings or payments on the free plan. Appointment booking and Google Calendar start on its Little plan, and SimplyBook and payment gateways on King. Stripe isn't in its WhatsApp gateway list, and WhatsApp usage is counted in 24-hour conversations.
6. Landbot
Marketing and sales teams that qualify leads on their website and on WhatsApp from one visual builder.
- A drag-and-drop builder with conditions, formulas and rich media.
- A free test number for trying a WhatsApp bot on your phone.
- Human takeover in a shared inbox.
- AI chats on paid plans, at a published rate.
- An EU-based platform that says it doesn't train models on your chats.
Skip it if: You want booking and payment blocks that work on WhatsApp. Its Calendly and Stripe blocks don't work there, and its date question has customers type the date. Its marketing pages describe AI booking on WhatsApp with Google Calendar, but its help doesn't document it, so ask them. Your own number needs Professional with its WhatsApp add-on.
7. ManyChat
Creators and brands whose main channel is Instagram, with WhatsApp alongside.
- Instagram, WhatsApp, TikTok, Messenger, Telegram, SMS and email in one account.
- Broadcasts with approved WhatsApp messages, and Meta ads that open a WhatsApp chat.
- An AI Step in flows that works on WhatsApp.
- Coexistence in beta, so the number can stay on the WhatsApp Business app.
Skip it if: You sell time slots. WhatsApp starts on the Pro plan, it has no calendar of its own that we could find, and its help centre covers the Buy Button for Messenger and Instagram only. Billing follows monthly active contacts.
8. respond.io
Mid-market teams that handle chats, calls and email across channels and need CRM links behind them.
- One team inbox for WhatsApp, Instagram, TikTok, Messenger and email, with WhatsApp Business calls in the same thread.
- AI Agents that answer, qualify and route, from its Growth plan.
- Calendly and Cal.com links shared from the inbox from Growth, with each contact's meetings beside the chat.
- HubSpot and Salesforce connections.
- Coexistence with the WhatsApp Business app.
Skip it if: You want a booking bot rather than a team inbox. Its own guide calls WhatsApp booking a workaround built on calendar links, its Google Calendar integration is view-only, and one FAQ says AI Agents can book, so check that with them. Workflows and AI Agents start on Growth, and there's no free plan.
9. AiSensy
Marketers who want WhatsApp campaigns and click-to-WhatsApp ads, with a bot added when needed.
- Broadcasts and retargeting on paid plans, with a campaign scheduler from Pro.
- A manager for ads that open a WhatsApp chat, on the free plan too.
- WhatsApp Forms that collect a service, a preferred date and time, and contact details.
- Razorpay and PayU payment links.
- Chatbot flows and AI agents as paid add-ons on any plan.
Skip it if: You want a booking bot first. Its forms collect an appointment request, and its Appointment Booking AI agent needs a connected scheduling tool. We found no booking calendar of its own on the pages we read. Chatbot flows cost extra on top of your plan, and its WhatsApp payments page names Brazil, India and Singapore for payments inside the chat.
How we compared them
We started from the tools that AI assistants and Google named for WhatsApp bots and bookings in October 2026, then kept nine that do different jobs and that a service business would really compare. It isn't a complete list. For each vendor we read the homepage and pricing page, including its comparison table where it has one, plus its WhatsApp, booking and payment pages and help articles where an entry depended on them. We didn't read every page, and we didn't sign up to or test the other tools.

Frequently asked questions
- What is the best free WhatsApp bot builder?
- It depends on what the free plan has to do, because several leave WhatsApp out. Happoin's free plan sends reminders from your own number for a limited number of appointments, but its chatbot needs a paid plan. BotPenguin's free plan runs on WhatsApp with a usage limit, and booking needs a paid plan. AiSensy's free plan gives you the WhatsApp API and live chat, with chatbot flows as a paid add-on. Landbot's free plan uses a test number. WhatsApp starts on Pro at ManyChat and on Starter at Meerlume. Chatfuel, Wati and respond.io offer a 7-day trial instead.
- Can a WhatsApp bot take bookings?
- Yes, but check what stands behind it. A real booking needs live availability, so two customers can't take the same time. Meerlume, Happoin and Chatfuel have their own calendars. BotPenguin can show slots from a Google Calendar step on paid plans. Wati and AiSensy collect details in a WhatsApp form, and both offer AI agents that book through a connected tool. respond.io shares links from Calendly or Cal.com. Landbot's Calendly block doesn't work on WhatsApp, though its marketing pages describe AI booking there, and ManyChat has no calendar of its own that we could find.
- Can I keep using the WhatsApp Business app on the same number?
- Often yes, through Meta's coexistence option, which puts one number on the WhatsApp Business app and the API at once. Happoin, Chatfuel, Wati, BotPenguin, respond.io and AiSensy offer it, and ManyChat lists it as beta. Meerlume doesn't: the number must be removed from the WhatsApp or Business app first. Landbot's help says a connected number can't be used in the WhatsApp or WhatsApp Business apps.
- Do I pay Meta as well as the bot builder?
- Usually, for some messages. On the official WhatsApp Business Platform, Meta charges per delivered message at its own rate for the customer's country. Each number gets 1,000 free service messages a month, which are replies within 24 hours of the customer's last message. Templates are charged, such as a reminder to someone who hasn't written in 24 hours. Meerlume adds no markup and Meta bills you directly. Other tools handle those fees in different ways, so check each pricing page.
- Can a WhatsApp bot take payments?
- Yes, but the route depends on the tool and the country. Meerlume sends a Stripe Checkout link from your own account on the Growth plan and up. Happoin takes payment on its booking website. BotPenguin and AiSensy connect gateways such as Razorpay, and both offer native WhatsApp payments in a few countries. ManyChat's Buy Button is for Messenger and Instagram, and Landbot's Stripe block doesn't work on WhatsApp. Chatfuel has no gateway: its AI shares your payment link or details and checks the receipts customers send.
- Do these bots use AI to answer customers?
- Several do, including Chatfuel, respond.io, BotPenguin, ManyChat and Landbot. Happoin's is optional, and Wati's and AiSensy's are add-ons. Meerlume works differently: AI builds the first version and reads typed messages the bot can't use as an answer, but it never writes a reply. The bot sends the messages in your flow and Meerlume's standard prompts, such as confirmations. You can turn that reading off for each bot.
- What does Meerlume cost on WhatsApp?
- WhatsApp starts on the Starter plan at $19 a month. The Growth plan at $49 a month removes the Meerlume sign-off on WhatsApp and adds Stripe payments, Instagram and Messenger. Meta bills you separately for messages, with no markup from us. You can build and test a bot on the Free plan first.
